Each and every breath we get in life is a blessing. Each time we breathe in, we breathe in air that is millions, possibly billions, of years old. We breathe in atoms older than our Sun, and particles that were formed at the beginning of time and space. This air has been breathed by kings and geniuses, explorers and artists, labors who built the pyramids and those who simply tilled the soil and brought in the harvest. We share it now with ministers and mothers, politicians and paupers, the newly born and those on their last gasps. Your breath ties you to their lives and all of human history.
As you live and breathe, each time you exhale, you bless the world. Your breath, your voice, your sigh and yawn, are all part of the great human experiment. Know that your life matters and helps us understand what it means to be human. Know that your breath ties you forever to the human race; every race and nation that is or ever will be on the Earth.
Live so that you can be proud of the breath you share with others.
