Veterans Day Meditation – World War I officially ended at 11:00 am on November 11, 1918. This day is known worldwide as Armistice Day in memory of those who served on War to End Veterans Day. As the war did not end there, the United States now celebrates all the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines who have served in uniform and all who have served alongside them as allies. It has been expanded here in the United States to celebrate all veterans.
So today was Veterans Day.
They say nobody comes back from war without scars. It is also said that the family also serves in some way by giving up the rest and presence of a loved one. It’s been years since a parent, spouse or child will never recover.
Few have joined the struggle because they believe in war itself; Almost everyone fights for peace. They fight because their fellow citizens ask them to and feel the need to defend their neighbors and their way of life.So let’s be the best citizens and neighbors we can and never ask the military to do what we’re too lazy to do or what diplomacy drives us to do. Never send a human into danger without careful thought and planning.
Be thankful for the service of our veterans as you strive to give them the support and resources they need to make the most of their lives at home. Be thankful and be sure to criticize the mission, not the soldier. Be thankful that the next generation will see fewer wars in their lives than we do.
Thank you to all who served and to the families who sacrificed themselves to support our military.
We honor your service by never involving a Soldier, Sailor, Airman, or Marine in solving a problem that a politician, diplomat, or government official should have prevented.
