Monday Mediation: Anything Worth Having…

The old saying goes: Anything worth having is worth working for.

Good things require time, effort, and usually cooperation. Good takes work. Building something meaningful and lasting can take a lifetime.

Evil, as we recognize it, is comparatively easy.

Destruction is almost always simpler. Chaos is easier to create than justice. Making people afraid is incredibly easy when compared to building community.

When terrible things happen in the world, it is good to take a moment now and then to see that almost as soon as it happens, there are people working together to put things right. Their job is so much harder, and it would be easy to be discouraged, but time after time, we see people running into danger to aid others and to start the healing process.

Evil is easier to do than good, but our heroes and helpers have always outnumbered our villains.
